Peter Waters G3OJV, principal of Waters and Stanton, takes a visit to the "old days" of ham radio where he longed for an HRO receiver in 1960. Is his theory that the bands were better in those days correct? Or are the old rigs, when working to spec as they would have been when they were new, capable of hearing and working just as much DX as modern radios (although maybe not quite as easily)?
