As a kid growing up in Nebraska,  everyone knew about Harold Warp's "Pioneer Village" in Minden, NE from the billboards along every major highway.  Harold Warp invented "Flex-O-Glass" which is used for green house coverings among other things, and which is still produced in family-owned factories in the USA.    He evidently invested much of his earnings into a  massive collection of antiques and Americana which runs the gamut from dozens of antique cars to old shops and working displays of lost arts and crafts,  and everything in between.

What was definitely not there when I visited as a kid was the large Ham Radio Exhibit that is seen in this video.   Very impressive and well worth a return visit!

If you build almost anything electronic, chances are good you've purchased parts from DigiKey Electronics.  But did you know that DigiKey - now one of the world's largest electronics distributors - started out as a ham radio company?"More than 50 years ago, a digital electronic device designed to generate uniform Morse characters and spaces was made available for sale by amateur radio enthusi...  READ MORE
